The C-MAX software program is specifically developed for industrial and large commercial systems design, engineering, energy efficiency program analysis and life cycle cost evaluation. C-MAX is designed for consulting engineers, design professionals, process engineers, plant engineers, and energy engineers.

C-MAX will help evaluate options that could reduce the cost of owning, operating, & maintaining a facility; achieve energy conservation goals, and evaluate other non-energy benefits. It could also be used in a new facility design, engineering, and specification preparation. The software allows user to conduct unlimited “what if” case analysis of the following systems.  The following are the major program modules.

C-MAX allows user to model steady state fluid flow systems and to carry out unlimited "what if" case studies. It interactively accounts for changes in process variables and in mechanical components to forecast the operating cost.  Pipes, fittings and valves designed in the C-MAX pipe module can be connected to any rotating equipment module. The pressure profile of a system (which may include control valves) can be changed automatically as the flow changes.

The user can select and compare various case studies of pre retrofit and post retrofit scenarios in the Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) module and perform an off-line simulation of system behavior under current operation and post retrofit operation. A Life Cycle costing module lets the user select an Equipment module or an ECM module to assess present value costs of a system under consideration over its life. The LC cost module also calculates “normalized” cost per production or flow throughput, simple payback, real payback, and uniform cost.

A Non-Energy Benefits module allows user to choose a total of fifteen other benefits (e.g.; production increase, quality improvement, labor reduction, etc.) that can be applied to life cycle cost analysis and to project funding justification. The NE Benefit module accounts for different life duration and inflation adjustment for each non-energy benefit item.

A Performance Charting module plots process variables from the Equipment, ECM, and LC Cost modules. C-MAX supports US and SI Units. It also has a Utility module, Chemical and Physical properties module with an ability to develop Custom Properties relationships.

The C-MAX  software is used by consulting engineers, plant engineers, facility owners, design & engineering firms, equipment manufacturers, energy services companies, and electric utilities.
