Features: The Fan / Blower Module will calculate Break Horse Power (BHP), Flow Rate, and Total Pressure for a fan and blower system. Flow can be entered five different ways, including API, CAGI or ASME standard conditions. A backward fan Flow Rate or Total Pressure calculation is performed if motor power draw data are available. An efficiency calculation of an Adjustable Frequency Drive (ASD) is performed based on a computed motor speed fraction, and the ASD efficiency is updated in the applicable case study. The part load efficiency of certain name plate horse power motors is computed and used in the calculations. Fan curves are plotted under various operating conditions. Adjustments to the fan efficiency and system pressure drops, including damper or inlet guide vane DP, are made automatically when the fan is operated on its base characteristic curve.  The fan module is designed using Fan Engineering (an Engineer's Handbook on Fans and their Application, 8th edition), Publisher Buffalo Forge Company.
