Features: The Pump Module will calculate break horse power (hp), name plate hp, total dynamic head (TDH), and flow rate for a centrifugal pumping system. A backward pump flow rate or TDH calculation is performed if motor power draw data are available. An efficiency calculation of an Adjustable Frequency Drive (ASD) is performed based on a computed motor speed fraction, and the ASD efficiency is updated in the applicable case study. The part load efficiency of certain name plate horse power motors is computed and used in the calculations. Pump curves are plotted under various operating conditions for a single pump or up to three parallel pumping configuration systems. Adjustments to the pump efficiency and system pressure drops, including control valve DP, are made automatically when the pump is operated on its base characteristic curve. The module provides for fluid viscosity corrections as chosen by the user. A connectivity to MotorMaster (DOE managed electric motor database) is planned in a future upgrade of C-MAX. The pump module is designed using Cameron Hydraulic Data Book and Goulds Pump Manual.
